SKM: ​Marine Engine Maintenance Operation

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Marine Engine Maintenance Operation is a vocational training program in Malaysia that focuses on teaching students the skills needed to maintain and repair marine engines. The course cov​ers topics such as engine components, fuel systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques. Students learn about the various types of marine engines and the principles of their operati​on, as well as how to perform routine maintenance and repairs. By enrolling in any course or training program offered by Pelita Akademi Sdn. Bhd. ("Pelita Akademi", "we", “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. All services are provided subject to these terms.


1.2 Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals who meet the course-specific entry requirements. Students must provide accurate personal and contact information at registration.


1.3 Registration & Payment
Registration is complete when full payment or deposit is received or payment arrangements are confirmed. Prices quoted are subject to change without prior notice until registration is confirmed. All fees are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.


1.4 Course Delivery
All courses are delivered as scheduled. Pelita Akademi reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, or cancel a course due to insufficient enrolment or other operational reasons. Participants will be notified in advance.


1.5 Intellectual Property
All course materials, including intellectual property rights, remain the property of Pelita Akademi. Participants may not reproduce or distribute materials without written permission.




2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
2.1 Cancellation by Participant
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.


2.1.1 Certificate of Competency (CoC) Courses:
- More than 31 days prior: Refund (excluding deposit) or transfer to another course date (subject to availability).
- 15–30 days prior: 50% refund (excluding deposit) or transfer to another course date (subject to availability).
- Less than 14 days / no-show: No refund.


2.1.2 Non-CoC Courses:
Deposit paid is non-refundable upon confirmation of registration. Subject to transfer to another course date based on availability.


2.2 Cancellation by Pelita Akademi
If Pelita Akademi cancels a course, participants may opt for a full refund or transfer to another available course date.


2.3 Refund Method
All refunds will be processed via the original payment method used
